His key strengths are building long term scientific collaborations with big pharma as well as small biotech companies. He was one of key group leaders instrumental in establishing strong research collaboration with BMS which finally culminated into setting up of Biocon -Bristol Myers Squibb research Center (BBRC) in Bangalore.
